Biography
Anthony Wreford is a non-executive and business advisor.
His non-executive roles include Chair of MS International PLC, Chair of Real Estate Investment Strategies (REIS) and non-executive director of Evolved Brands.
His advisory roles include Corient, Skybound Capital and St. James's Place.
Anthony previously advised Aberdeen Standard Investments and has just retired, after 11 years (and 19 meetings), as the Founder and Chair of a group of leading asset managers that met twice a year to discuss non-competitive issues.
For over 20 years, Anthony worked for Omnicom, the global network of leading marketing communications companies. Initially, he was an Advisor, then he became a Divisional CEO, and later, Deputy Chairman of Omnicom Europe.
Away from work, Anthony’s main interest is sport, particularly golf and cricket. He was President of the MCC from 2018 to 2019 and Chairman of the Professional Cricketers’ Association from 2009 to 2014.
Rock & roll and country music are his other passions. He was on the board of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and is an Investor in CountryLine, a country & western app launched in 2018.
Anthony’s charitable work includes acting as a Trustee of the Patron’s Lunch for HM The Queen’s 90th Birthday and as a trustee of The Lord’s Taverners. He is an occasional Advisor to other charities.
Anthony is a PPE graduate of St Catherine’s College, Oxford University.
