Biography

Business executive and philanthropist Casey Wasserman is Chairperson of LA28, the committee responsible for organizing the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Prior to this role, Casey led Los Angeles' successful bid to host these games, returning the highly anticipated event to the city after more than two decades.

Additionally, Casey is President and Chief Executive Officer of The Wasserman Foundation, a private family foundation that was established in 1952 by his grandparents, Lew and Edie Wasserman. Based in Los Angeles, the Foundation provides funding and support to programs across education, arts and culture, health, service, and global initiatives.

Casey founded Wasserman Media Group in 2002 and rebranded it as Wasserman in 2016. As Chairman and CEO, Casey expanded Wasserman’s offerings, strategically shaping it into a global leader in sports, music, entertainment, and brand representation.

Casey exemplifies philanthropy and civic leadership through his nonprofit affiliations. He serves on the Motion Picture and Television Fund’s Board of Directors and on the Board of Trustees for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Since graduating from UCLA, he has supported the university as a board member of the UCLA Stein Eye Institute and as Co-Chair of UCLA’s Second Century Council.
