Biography
Chris Baldwin is a Managing Partner at CVC and a member of the CVC US Private Equity team.
CVC is a leading private equity and investment advisory firm that manages funds for investors all over the world. It is led by its Managing Partners and is majority owned by its employees. Expert teams with in-depth insight into local business environments drive the company's success.
Chris is based in New York and worked with CVC on several key projects before joining the company in 2020, including serving on the Boards of Petco, PDC Brands and BJ’s Wholesale Club, and successfully leading BJ’s as CEO.
Chris has a consistent track record of increasing shareholder value and operating performance at Fortune 100 companies, with extensive experience in leading complex businesses, mergers and acquisitions, post-merger integrations, and turnarounds.
Prior to BJ’s, Chris held a range of executive positions in the food and beverage sector. He held leadership roles at Kraft Heinz, P&G and Nabisco. He also served as CEO of energy company Hess Corporation and was Senior Vice President of Hess Corporation.
He currently sits on the boards of several companies, including Advantage Solutions; Authentic Brands Group, a brand management firm that is the owner of Reebok and holds the image rights of many high-profile figures such as David Beckham; Mediaocean, a leading advertising technology company; and ExamWorks, an independent medical exams provider. He also serves as Executive Chairman of PDC Brands, a wellness and personal care company, and is Non-Executive Chair of the Board at Constellation Brands Inc.
Active in his community, Chris is an Executive Board Member of Harlem Lacrosse, a sports education organization, and served as Chairman of both the National Retail Federation and Morristown Medical Center, which he still supports as a donor.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Siena College in Loudonville, New York.
