Jamie Ritblat is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Delancey, a real estate investment and advisory company.
Since its foundation in 1998, Delancey has become a major player in the UK property market, with a particular focus on Central London. Its projects include the transformation of the London 2012 Athletes’ Village into East Village and the establishment of build-to-rent platform Get Living; the redevelopment of the Olympic Press and Broadcast Centre into Here East; and the 2.6 million sq ft masterplan for the new town centre at Elephant & Castle.
Over the last two decades, Jamie and his management team at Delancey have overseen the purchase, development and sale of more than £20bn of property and property-related investments. Delancey’s acquisitions include the £1.1bn takeover of Minerva PLC and the 2019 purchase of the Earl’s Court development site, comprising 25 acres of prime redevelopment land in west London.
Jamie is a committed supporter of charities and arts organisations. He is a Commissioner at Historic England, Vice President of the Heritage of London Trust, and a Trustee of Blenheim Palace and The Bathurst Estate. He serves on the V&A International Advisory Council and recently joined the Imperial College Council, where he also chairs its Real Estate Committee.
His previous advisory, board and trustee positions include Tate Britain, the MCC, Southbank Centre, Kew Gardens Foundation, King’s College London and Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres.
Jamie plays a central role in shaping Delancey’s CSR programme. He was instrumental in the company becoming the first corporate sponsor of Historic England’s national Blue Plaques scheme and leads its support for a range of arts and heritage organisations, including English Heritage, the National Portrait Gallery, Historic Royal Palaces and the Heritage of London Trust.

Delancey is a UK-focused property investment, asset management advisory and development firm. Supported by some of the world’s top investors, Delancey has been responsible for many high-profile property developments in the UK. A major highlight was the creation of a lasting legacy following the London 2012 Olympics with the redevelopment of the former athletes’ village in Stratford.
The British Land Company PLC
Whilst Jamie was at British Land he was responsible for, or connected with, approximately £2 billion of transactions, including new and innovative joint ventures with operating partners Tesco Stores and Scottish & Newcastle.
Morgan Grenfell Laurie
Jamie’s career in property began at Morgan Grenfell Laurie, the real estate advisory and consultancy arm of Morgan Grenfell, where he gained experience in property development and investment.
Freehold Portfolio Estates Limited
Jamie Ritblat set up Freehold Portfolio Estates as a UK real estate advisory business to manage funds on behalf of private clients. In August 1998, Freehold Portfolios Estates was acquired by Delancey Estates PLC.
