Dr. John Holtsclaw serves as the Medical Director of the Camden Treatment Associates and Urban Treatment Associates in Camden, New Jersey. Dr. Holtsclaw has extensive experience and deep expertise in medical care, patient-focused therapeutic interventions and innovative treatment options.
Camden Treatment Associates is a CARF-accredited medication-assisted treatment program focused on providing individualized care to help individuals suffering from addiction chart a path toward recovery. The team at Camden Treatment Associates uses their diverse experience in a range of programs developed to provide individuals with a comprehensive rehabilitation experience, which include Methadone maintenance treatment (MMT) and Group Therapy and Individual Therapy.
Dr. Holtsclaw holds board certification in Addiction Medicine awarded by the American Board of Addiction Medicine and is a member of the New Jersey Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence (NJATOD). He serves as the Medical Director of numerous Medication-Assisted Treatment programs in New Jersey, including the Opioid Overdose Prevention Program, where he leads educational programs that help people recognize an opioid overdose and develop the skills and knowledge needed to administer life-saving measures to reverse the effects of an overdose. He continues to serve the community as a volunteer in addiction programs and the delivery of mobile-care delivery services.
Dr. John Holtsclaw holds a Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He continued his studies at Indiana University where he earned degrees and was Board Certified in both Pediatrics and Internal Medicine.

As the Director of the Opioid Overdose Prevention program for southern New Jersey, Dr. Holtsclaw oversees programs that provide education to participants so that they can recognize an opioid overdose and subsequently be equipped to provide life-saving rescue measures to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.
Urban Treatment Associates
Urban Treatment Associates is an addiction treatment center also providing a mobile unit service to those suffering from drug addiction in the Camden (New Jersey) community.
