Biography
Petar Cvetkovic is Founder & Chairman of Welford Investments, a company that specialises in equity holdings, growth companies, ownership of freehold commercial properties and advisory work.
Petar is a former Times Business Big Shot, and the recipient of the Business Turnaround Professional of the Year Award from the Institute for Turnaround, which he achieved in 2014 for his business leadership. He was cited for these awards for his exceptional performance, a strong moral compass, and innovation, attributes that have defined his working life. Over the course of his 42-year career he has built a reputation for being a customer-facing executive with a proven history of driving strategic growth and improving companies’ profits and fortunes. He has led some of the UK’s best-known logistics firms, working in parcels, contract and shared-user distribution, as well as supply chain and international logistics.
Petar was part of the founding team behind the internationally recognised fashion retailer, boohoo.com. Petar has also acted as a Non-Executive Director (N.E.D.) for Crawford Healthcare and is currently a N.E.D. at Sorted Group Holdings as well as a fan, sponsor and N.E.D. of Leicester Tigers Rugby Club. His charitable work also includes raising money for The Matt Hampson Foundation and the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
