Simon McWilliams is a highly respected finance executive with extensive experience in scaling, institutionalising, and transforming multi-billion-dollar investment management firms, with a focus on hedge funds and private equity. Previously, Simon served as CFO at LetterOne, a multi-asset investment manager. During his tenure, he oversaw a $15 billion treasury business unit and managed all non-investment functions. Simon also held the position of Chief Operating Officer and Partner at Quantmetrics Capital, a short-term systematic quantitative trading firm, where he transformed the company into a recognised hedge fund, increasing assets under management and boosting institutional credibility. His earlier roles include key positions at Waha Capital, Investment Dar, and GLG Partners Inc. Simon holds an MBA from IE Business School; a Master’s in Finance from INSEAD; and a Bachelor of Accounting Science degree. He is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Management Accountant (CGMA). Away from business, Simon is an avid long-distance runner who has run countless marathons and ultra-distance events. He devotes time to charitable pursuits and is a dedicated Chelsea & Westminster Hospital NHS Trust supporter. Simon raised over £60,000 by running 10 marathons in 10 days, funded new neonatal blankets, commissioned a permanent artwork installation by Andy Burgess, and loaned several pieces of art.
