Svante Kumlin is the founder and CEO of renewable energy developer EEW Renewables. He was born and raised in the small village of Stenungsund, outside of Gothenburg in Sweden.
The serial entrepreneur launched his first company at the age of 20, and over the past 40 years he has worked in several industries, growing multiple businesses from start-up to mature enterprises. Svante has experience in M&A, private equity, and venture capital investments. Building on this experience, he has successfully drawn investment into his company, EEW Renewables (EEW), a leading global developer of utility-scale solar energy projects.
Svante has a track record of successful exits from his ventures and investments, and now focuses his energy on ensuring a clean future for all. He has spent the past 22 years focusing on green technology industries such as oil recovery from submerged tankers, solar module production, recyclable office supplies, and renewable energy development, as well as hydrogen production.
Passionate about the clean energy industry, Svante is at the forefront of new commercial and technical solutions for the race to net-zero emissions, and for the past 15 years has focused on the development of solar power and renewable energy projects.
His deep expertise in renewable energy and finance has positioned Svante as one of the leading voices in the industry on solar and green hydrogen technology. Svante is a frequent speaker and attendee at renewable energy events and conferences around the world. In addition to industry events, Svante is often invited to green energy conferences on behalf of UK and Australian governments, parliamentary representatives, and diplomats.

EEW Renewables
EEW develops innovative solar power projects globally and is an industry leader in the renewable power generation sector. It operates across Europe and Australasia, developing more than 1,300 MW of capacity. EEW collaborates with investors, private equity firms and infrastructure funds to design, plan, permit, develop and finance projects, selling when they’re "ready to build”.
ECO Supplies Europe AB
ECO Supplies Europe AB operated across Europe, marketing sales of environmentally friendly recyclable office supplies. The company also produced photovoltaic solar modules.
United Link AB
United Link AB traded in raw material with former CIS states. The trading company mainly exported metals, and also imported food products.
Red Line AB
Red Line AB was a Scandinavian import-export company with operations expanding to the Far East, trading in raw materials, and industrial and consumer goods.
Nexus Jets
Nexus Jets owned and operated a fleet of private jets in Monaco, joining with and developing a charter service across Europe.
Swede Care Properties
Swede Care Properties acquired property from local municipalities, converting them to suitable care homes for the elderly and those in need.
Printle
Printle.com was an e-commerce office supply website offering users easy and quick access to environmentally friendly stationery and office supplies. The business was sold to a larger e-commerce competitor in 2011.
Venture Capital Investor
Svante invested in telecommunications, transportation, technology, energy and natural resources ventures.
